Reiki is a complementary therapy which has been used to support western medicine.
During Lockdown I took take part in medical
trials for Distant Healing through being a member of the Reiki
Federation.
The name of the trial was Reiki Medic Care and is a joint collaboration between The Reiki Federation and St. Georges teaching Hospital in Tooting, London, where they have been using Reiki as a complementary therapy on volunteer Cancer patients for over two years.
Volunteers from the NHS including front line workers have used a little time from their breaks to receive Distant Healing, the feedback and information gathered will go to producing medical reports on the effectiveness of Reiki and how it can potentially support and treat various conditions. These medical trials really are a huge step forward in getting Reiki on the map to future recognisable and potentially prescribed treatments in the future.
